Con, en, entre, hacia and por: persons

1 In Spanish the addressee of a feeling is indicated by four prepositions. The use of one or another depends on the preposition’s verb.

Eres muy severo con tu hijo.

Sois demasiado desconfiados con los desconocidos.

Confío en ti.

Tengo miedo por ti.

Siento mucha pena por él.

Siento mucho cariño hacia ti.

2 The person that caused a feeling is indicated by the preposition por.

3 Also the preposition por is used to swear; sometimes by the health of the persons, some others by the peaceful rest of deads.

4 Entre introduces a group of persons.
