2 It is possible to use an adjective in adverbial function with predicative adjectives. They specify both the meaning of the subject and meaning of the predicate, and agree with the subject in gender and number.
María estudia afanosa la lección. (Afanosa = afanosamente)
Isabel sube alegre por la escalera. (Alegre = alegremente)
